Squared off corner of blade steel.

 

Round files.

 

 

Partially finished profile, out of focus,

 

 

 Then a quick lapping on a sharpening stone to decrease the burr. Not pictured.

Scrap beech for a holder. Quick stuff here, just to experiment.

 

 

Slightly undersized holes and countersink.

 

 

Bolts threaded into beech well. Cutter in place.

 

 

 

A little at a time. Scratching away to a profile.

In pine. Soft wood but easy for the grain to pull cutter.

 

 

Practicing on both sides of board.

 

 

In maple.  Harder wood but more consistent.
